Pfeiffer Fest

To help celebrate their tenth birthday, Whistler Wines of the Barossa Valley, is inviting wine lovers to their cellar door for Pfeiffer Fest.

Whistler Wines is going back to its traditional roots and celebrating German style. So dust off your lederhosen and head to the Barossa Valley for a day of fine wine, food and entertainment.

Popular Adelaide cover band, The Happy Leonards, will be providing guests with the musical entertainment for the day. Traditional German folk music will also be played at various times of the day for some thigh slapping fun.

Prizes can be won for the best dressed guest and talented whistlers. Face painting, crafts and traditional German games will also be available throughout the day for the children.

The full range of Whistler Wines will also be available for purchase at the cellar door.

Ticklish Allsorts

Ticklish Allsorts’ is a family stage show, which is a lively combination of song, dance and interactive fun and encourages children to have fun through singing and dancing.

Original songs cover a diversity of musical styles - to open children’s ears to all sorts of music.

Each song is carefully choreographed with easy-to-copy moves designed for children who want to join in and dance. Harmony singing is also a feature of the group.

Ticklish Allsorts have a cheeky, cheerful appeal with colourful characters, including Radish, Australia’s most popular line-dancing pantomime horse; Ali Gator the croc who loves to rock; Bruce and Bluey a pair of Aussie rapping dogs; Alistair Bear a Scottish teddy bear; and the coolest dudes on the block, the Banana Brothers.

Throughout the show the performers make contact with their young audience and encourage their active participation, whether it be by playing guessing games, calling out in time-honoured pantomime fashion or singing and dancing along.

Co-Opera Presents La Boheme at Richmond Grove Winery

The Bohemians are an idealistic, penniless bunch intent on enjoying the festive season. Tribulations, celebrations and a troubled love triangle provide a counterpoint to the genuine and profound love between Rodolfo and Mimi. Although they transcend love's enemy, misunderstanding, their destiny is ultimately a tragic one. Puccini's poignant music amplifies the drama, and, so long as we believe in the characters, their journey inevitably touches our most fundamental human emotions.

In the best traditions of Co-Opera, this production of La Boheme, set in no specific era, seeks that romantic essence which has made it one of the most widely performed and loved of all operas.

Experienced choreographer/director Nick Carroll always aims to entertain, and with its blend of humour, romance and tragedy, La Boheme is fertile material for a complete operatic experience.

This production will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
